Charities supported by Just Grenada
Since the early days of our involvement with the island of Grenada, we as a company, with the amazing support of our generous clients, have been pleased to be able to help the less fortunate of the islands people with practical and financial help.
All the charitable work with which we are associated is ongoing, of course. Our clients are a continuing source of help and generosity.
We cannot mention them all but we would make special mention of Jenny Barlow and her support of the Bel Air Home.

We formed a close relationship with the Bel Air Home at a very early stage and for many years we have been able to send them much needed funds to assist with their wonderful work with children of all ages.
Their tireless efforts to help homeless children, or young folk who need help at a time of family crisis, is truly inspiring. Every Christmas we run an appeal for the home and throughout the year our staff and our clients deliver much-needed clothing and supplies collected by generous people in the UK. After Hurricane Ivan, our clients raised a staggering £6,000 to help with essential repairs at the home.

We have been delighted to send a substantial donation to help with the rebuilding of this school, which has more than 600 students. Principal Madeleine Baptiste and her staff do an incredible job running this school and we were very pleased to be able to send enough money to assist with the equipping of the school's computer centre and also the rebuilding of the science laboratory. This donation is part of our ongoing commitment to help in the reconstruction of the infrastructure of Grenada, which continues to make wonderful progress following Hurricane Ivan.

This major hurricane came as a total shock to the people of Grenada as the island had been untroubled by hurricanes since 1955. The damage to the island was very severe – most homes were damaged or destroyed and the rebuilding programme was a huge operation. Thanks to the amazing generosity of our clients, we were able to raise the astonishing sum of £30,000 and every penny was distributed to needy people and their families in Grenada. Here are a few photographs of people we were able to help.
Tour guide Christopher Macdonald
Your generosity enabled Christopher
McDonald (Mac) to obtain the materials he need to rebuild his
home. Mac’s letter to our clients read:
"Our heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone of you for your help to our beautiful
island and special thanks to those who contributed to our family. We received
copies of your letters and they made us cry. Thank you with all our hearts for
your concern and for your gift which will help us so much with our rebuilding.
May God bless you all richly for ministering to us and to the people of Grenada."

La Sagesse: Mike
Meranski opened an
account at the hardware suppliers to help his
most impoverished staff and we were able to
contribute to the fund.

Petie Bacaye: Julia Montgomery accepted a
cheque with sincere thanks for the support
we were able to give to one of her staff in
particular who had suffered very badly
in the hurricane.

We were also able to track down specific
individuals to whom some of you had asked
us to direct particular donations.

We are pleased to have been able to support this animal charity which does an amazing job in caring for animals on the island. They work with many UK and USA vets who visit the island and give their services free. You can see more details of their work on their website.
