Why Grenada?

Grenada is one of the most authentic, charming and welcoming of all Caribbean Islands and has something for everyone to enjoy…

With glorious beaches, inviting turquoise waters, fabulous restaurants and atmospheric beach bars, this island paradise has so much to tempt and delight both first time travellers as well as returning guests who can’t get enough of its laid-back charm.

One of the reasons we love it so much is how safe and friendly Grenada is – so easy to explore – with or without a guide. The island has stunning scenery – rainforest, waterfalls, lakes and of course dramatic beaches.

Welcome to Our Grenada – we look forward to sharing it with you

About Grenada

If you want the beaches and the ocean views, but you’re also a passionate foodie who loves to try new flavours, cinnamon-scented Grenada could well be the place for you. Twelve degrees north of the equator, this is a sugar and spice island on which to spend lazy days in a hammock sipping on a nutmeg-infused rum punch. Life here is mellow, unrushed and fragrantly seasoned.

Less developed than many of the other Caribbean islands, Grenada bewitches with low rise boutique hotels, laid-back living and a lush rainforest interior that opens out onto beautiful white beaches and the indigo waters of the Atlantic and the Caribbean. It’s home to heady hot springs, vividly scented markets, spice plantations, volcanic crater lakes and the striking Seven Sisters Falls.

The southernmost of the Windward Islands, Grenada is the world’s biggest producer of nutmeg and visitors can happily spend an hour or two wandering around the spice farms and nutmeg plantations. Grenada has successfully managed to avoid the pitfalls that come with mass tourism and has a charming policy that buildings any higher than the tallest palm tree are simply not allowed. This means the sheer natural beauty of the island’s white-sand beaches, turquoise waters and wild jungle interior all remain intact.

If you can resist the lure of Grenada’s gleaming strands such as Grand Anse Beach – considered the most perfect on the island – be sure to discover St. George’s, the island’s historic capital and one of the prettiest coastal settlements in the Caribbean. The Carenage runs all the way around St. George’s harbour in a horse-shoe shape, edged with waterfront restaurants – great for a lazy lunch, followed by a tour of heritage sights or perhaps a spot of shopping.
